National Apprentice Week 2020 takes place from 3rd -7th February and is coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service. It is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Apprenticeships provide key training while allowing students to earn money as they learn. In addition to the hands-on skills developed, apprentices quickly learn the importance of regulations and procedures, process safety and interpreting documentation.
The Unity Group have a number of apprentices across its portfolio of businesses, which include Red Robot Systems, Agile and Total Contracting Services. The group has supported the apprenticeship route for a number of years via there sister company Agility People Service who offer a range of extensive in-house training and support in co-operation with Radical Labs. The Unity Group understands the true value and extent apprenticeships have on the company itself, the individuals and the community. Thus, being one of the key avenues for building skills in a chosen sector, for young adults.
This week across the Unity Group’s businesses we have celebrated NAW2020 with a number of our successful apprenticeship stories. With key emphasis on TCS, in which the recently appointed apprentices have already jumped leaps and bounds for the TCS business, and essentially Unity. Credit is also given to Agile, who have over the years, and continues to turn out high quality apprentices. Some of which, have moved up roles within the companies.
The Unity group will continue its journey actively supporting and employing a range of diverse apprentices and training them to high standards for the foreseeable.
