Unity Celebrate V.E. Day

Unity Group Ltd recently did a news article on signing the Armed Forces Covenant earlier this year. That is why we are proud to celebrate

V.E. Day 2020 this weekend, to pay homage to all the armed forces.Victory in Europe Day (VE) has been moved to May Day to represent and celebrate the 75th Anniversary.

Despite the lockdown situation spanning across the whole of the world, many businesses and families will commemorate the 75th Anniversary from the comfort of their own homes and through digital and technological means – although all public gatherings have been cancelled, it is still vital to commemorate the end of fighting against Nazi Germany in Europe during WW2.

VE Day on 8th May 1945 saw Britain and its Allies accept Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender after many years of war.Unity Group Ltd signed the pledge to help and honour the ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing of those who proudly served or continue to serve out country.Once lockdown is over, all the employees in Unity Group Ltd will part take in fundraising efforts to donate money to the worthy cause, so keep an eye out for our fundraising efforts.

Although the events have been cancelled, there is still stuff going on that you can partake in. See below:·        

  • A Live VE Day 75 livestream at 11:12am·    National moments of Remembrance and thanksgiving, including 2-minute silence·        
  • A UK-wide singalong to Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’ at 9pm·        
  • An evening of memories and music in partnership with the BBC from 8pm on BBC One.


Although we are all at home, it does not mean we cannot celebrate this amazing day. Everyone at Unity Group Ltd will be participating in some of the events listed in commemoration.
