Unity Group Ltd Signs the Armed

Forces Covenant

Unity Group Ltd is the latest company in Teesside to sign the much-coveted Armed Forces Covenant, pledging their allegiance to help people involved in the armed forces and their families.As part of Unity's ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of those who served or continue to serve our country, signing the covenant enables Unity to give back to the community and provide ongoing

support.The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

Upon signing the covenant, the Chief of Operations Simon Scotchbrook disclosed "this is a good opportunity for the group and came as a perfect time to coincide with the Unity Group Relaunch. Signing the AFC under the guise of Unity Group Inc Ltd & Co, allows us to connect with diverse people and companies, and help them through difficult times and offer continued support. Therefore, I am really happy that we have joined over 4,000 companies who have signed and expressed commitment to such a valuable endeavour."

Unity will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, some of which are listed below.·   

  •   Offering guaranteed interviews to veterans, young and old if they meet the selection criteria laid out in job advert in the industries which we operate.·  
  •  Providing a maximum of 3 months’ work experience to war veterans within either of Unity Tech Group or Unity Biz Group.·   
  •   Offering up to 25 hours a year of career advice for those who have left forces, through the arrangement of monthly meetings.·   
  •   Holding briefing days specifically for those leaving the Armed Forces, to raise awareness of the opportunities for employment in your business.
